Marketing Executive, GMNS Marketing

Job Description

The GMNS Marketing team is part of the American Express Global Merchant & Network Services organization and is responsible for developing the marketing strategy to drive merchant engagement and satisfaction and end-to-end execution of all network wide B2C marketing campaigns.
This role sits in American Express Taiwan office and works under the Greater China team of the GMNS Marketing at American Express in Hong Kong.
The focus of this role is the management and end-to-end execution of network wide, marketing platforms / campaigns in Taiwan with key focus on merchant communications and marketing capability implementation.


Scope of the role will include marketing project management, merchant consultations, offer construct design, campaign creative development and agency management, merchant sell-in and communications, campaign measurement, and budget management.
 

Responsibilities will include:

  • Lead the development and end-to-end execution of marketing initiatives, communication platforms / campaigns including result tracking and evaluation to drive positive impact on merchant activation, engagement and satisfaction.

  • Work collaboratively with Manager, Agencies and Key Stakeholders to deliver initiatives that drive Cardmember usage and spend at participating merchants.

  • Ensure all marketing programs are compliant and aligned with focus areas and corporate branding and marketing guidelines.

  • Develop and lead the implementation of B2B merchant communications to demonstrate values to Amex merchants and reinforce merchant satisfaction.

  • Drive marketing capability / process implementation to enhance customer experience, increase marketing and operating efficiencies.

  • Plan and manage marketing budget to ensure effective and efficient utilization.

Minimum Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • Passionate marketer with growth mindset

  • University degree in Business, Marketing or Communications

  • Minimum 5 years marketing experience, preferably in banks / financial institutions / telecommunications or servicing industries

  • Strong project management skills to execute multiple marketing and communication campaigns within tight timelines. Ideally with campaign execution experience across a variety of channels including online, email, direct mail and social media

  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, resolve issues using good business sense and attend to details

  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with ability to influence, gain support, resolve conflict and work across multiple business units

  • Excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese

  • Passion for marketing and innovation

  • Outgoing, energetic and excellent team player

  • Experience in digital and online marketing tools

  • Solid PC skills – PowerPoint, Word, and Excel

  • Previous budget management experience
