American Express Enterprise Digital is dedicated to building enterprise capabilities to support digital, risk, and information management initiatives across American Express. The team is helping to drive the future of the business by building products and platforms that are utilizing decision science best practices, exemplary user experience and our closed loop data within a secure and safe environment. We are looking for a talented product analyst for our reporting capabilities who has experience in driving agile development processes. The Analyst will support the Product Owners in building reporting strategy, roadmap creation and delivery against that roadmap.


Responsibilities include:

  • Understand customer reporting requirements and explain how our technology stack addresses them
  • Explore and understand the data within our big data ecosystem
  • Aggregate and transform data using acceleration tools
  • Work with customers to gather project requirements, plan and define timelines and success criteria
  • Showcase analytical skills and problem-solving ability paired with meticulous attention to detail
  • Work with product owners to define new features to be built, write user stories, acceptance criteria, and groom stories with developers and designers
  • Review results, and track key metrics to understand the product outcomes and future opportunities
  • Demonstrate excellent verbal and written communication skills. Verbally and visually tell stories and keep people engaged
  • Utilize SQL and Tableau 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Solid understanding of capabilities and platforms within Big Data landscape including tools
  • Solid analytical background and success with providing solutions to issues and/or problems
  • Understanding of key drivers of the credit card industry is highly preferred
  • Experience and/or knowledge of American Express Data are pluses
  • SQL and Tableau or other BI tools are assets
