Financial Planning and Analysis Executive

Job Description

Coverage expansion and related initiatives such as merchant activation and retention are a key strategic focus and priority of Global Merchant Services (GMS). This role will be at the center of the merchant acquisition team as well as teams across GMS in supporting the coverage expansion goals and projects based on sound data and detailed MIS analytics in technical coverage, welcome acceptance as well as cardmember perception of coverage.

Working closely with GM of the business, the role will also be responsible for Business Planning/Analisys support which will include P&L Management, Investment and Opex tracking and planning, monthly business and productivity analysis, compliance and regulatory reporting.

The role will give the individual an in-depth and hands-on exprerience to American Express Merchant Services and to the exciting world of payments balancing hand-on project experience with financial and business analysis. 

Minimum Qualifications

  • 2-3 years financial planning, auditing experience.

  • Merchant services or merchant acquiring experience.

  • Customer, industry, market and product/operations and MIS system knowledge.

  • Excellent analytical skills with proven ability to do investment analysis.

  • Proven ability to present complex ideas to upper management in a clear and concise way.

  • Ability to think “outside the box” in order to generate and test new idea.

  • Excellent relationship building, time management and presentation skills.

  • Strong relationship management skills.

  • Effective conflict resolution and negotiation skills.

  • Ability to manage stakeholder across various level and work effectively in a matrix environment.

  • Self-starter and takes ownership of work.

  • Detailed and able to manage daily operations
