American Express Global Commercial Services (GCS) is a leader in supporting small business owners and larger companies with products and services to help them run and grow their businesses. The Customer & Spend Engagement team sits within the GCS Global Marketing organization and focuses on spend growth, rewards and offers, and marketing capabilities to better meet our small business customers’ needs. Our team’s goal is to inspire our customers to deepen their loyalty and expand their relationship with American Express.

This role is a unique blend of     campaign management and marketing strategy, supporting both marketing execution and the expansion of marketing capabilities and tools. We are looking for a self-starter who is comfortable working in white space & adaptable to an evolving environment. Someone who can partner across the organization to develop strategic marketing campaigns with real-time dynamic personalized messaging. This is a highly visible position with exposure to leadership, opportunities for strategic ownership, and experiences supporting cross-enterprise initiatives in digital channels.  


  • Support end to-end campaign setup and execution with a customer-first, detail-oriented mindset
  • Coordinate with crossfun
  • ctional teams and creative agencies to develop and execute cohesive marketing plans across channels like email, direct mail, social, paid media, dialogic, etc
  • Own and track project plans to ensure ontime delivery & that key marketing needs are being met
  • Leverage data and insights to discover innovative methods of enhancing our marketing strategies and how we communicate with our customers
  • Analyze project and campaign results to identify key drivers & metrics of success

Minimum Qualifications

  • 1-3 years working experience, preferably in a marketing field

  • Strong project management, organizational skills, and attention to detail

  • Ability to adapt to rapidly changing environment

  • Eagerness and curiosity to learn the business and drive results

  • Ability to translate insights and analytics into action

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to influence key partners

  • A “can do” attitude and a desire to have fun while driving exceptional customer experiences.

  • Excellent relationship builder who can work across a large matrixed organization to build strong and effective internal business relationships

  • Passion for innovation, white space thinking, and comfort with challenging the status quo

  • Excellent problem solver with the strong ability to navigate complex processes and technologies
