The Technology Talent Excellence (TTE) team is a newly formed center of excellence (COE) that will tightly align with and support the strategic talent objectives of the Technology organization. As our Technology organization continues to evolve, so must our talent strategy. The Director of Strategic Workforce Planning (SWP) will be instrumental in how we look to transform our workforce to meet the delivery needs of our organization powered by the best talent.

The TTE Director of SWP will support and enable our internal partners, including the Technology Leadership Team (TLT) and their leadership teams by:

  • Enabling a systematic process of analyzing, forecasting, and planning their workforce
  • Providing best in class self-service tools to enable modelling of the SWP and automated dashboard reporting
  • Determining the supply and demand to meet their delivery needs
  • Supporting the identification of talent management interventions based on their needs – such as having the right people with the right skills in the right places
  • Generating a holistic Technology wide talent skill view by location and role type in collaboration with our internal stakeholders (the Colleague Experience Group, Global Talent Acquisition and Global Inclusion & Diversity) to maximize on talent pipelines and execution

In addition, the Director of SWP will determine the process, cadence and mechanisms for developing the overall Technology wide SWP reporting against the Technology People Strategy. This will demonstrate the macro level trending and include items such as the contractor/ colleague ratios, band level mix, location growth, progress towards the Technology Inclusion & Diversity aspirations and Early Careers Program global placements.

Our mission is to enable and support the Technology leaders in achieving their SWP goals and drive forward with clear ‘rules of the road’. By making the boundaries clear and transparent, the Technology organization can progress with autonomy and purpose in their Talent strategy. The Director of SWP will partner closely with the newly appointed Vice President of Technology Talent Excellence,  and transform how we approach and execute this function today, ensure that we bring together our TTE team to demonstrate a #TeamAmex approach to SWP. It is an exciting time to join the Technology Talent Excellence team as we pivot to support the talent needs of the global technology organization.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with teams across technology jointly transform the existing SWP processes – provide an end to end systematic process of analyzing, forecasting, and planning the technology workforce
  • Provide a best in class self-service tools to enable modelling of the SWP and automated dashboard reporting for our partners
  • Generate a holistic Technology wide talent view by location and role type in collaboration with our internal stakeholders (the Colleague Experience Group, Global Talent Acquisition and Global Inclusion & Diversity) to maximize on talent pipelines and execution
  • Partner closely with Technology Finance and other related Technology transformation programs to ensure consistency in data usage and reporting
  • Supporting the identification of talent management interventions based on their needs – such as having the right people with the right skills in the right places
  • Align and manage the connection of other TTE functions to the SWP and ensure TTE shows up as #OneTeam
  • Use external bench marking data to identify solutions and drive talent recommendations
  • Deepen the existing relationships with the hiring Technology Leadership Team through effective SWP management and providing a service that supports their organization needs
  • Develop and manage OKRs and KPIs to track progress, use data to pivot and always improve customer satisfaction

 

Minimum Qualifications

Experience & Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree along with Strategic Workforce Planning experience is required
  • Strong analytics experience is essential - with the ability to draw conclusions and make inferences from the data
  • Experience working in either Technology or Consulting, or closely partnering with Technology is a plus
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills required, experience with senior stakeholder management
  • Highly organized with experience running large scale programs
  • Experience working with external third parties and building strong relationships
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to develop measurable goals to track success
  • Ability to utilize Industry trends and make meaningful recommendations
