Prospect Acquisition is one of the largest investments in GCSG and as part of the Integrated Marketing Solutions (IMS) Digital Acquisition team you will be responsible for developing world class digital products, capabilities and marketing programs that support our global markets and help fuel our acquisition growth. 
The Senior Manager will be responsible for thought leadership and development of highly impactful Multivariate Testing (MVT) and A/B/N Test & Learn campaigns that will define and influence American Express’ UX strategy for the US Card Shop (our primary acquisition website). Further, the Senior Manager will work closely with the broader analytics, product, and strategy teams to drive insights focused on defining, understanding and effectively measuring the value of these initiatives.
The Senior Manager will create and evolve the site experience and should have a passion for improving journeys within digital channels. This will be instrumental in demonstrating how Test & Learn can be directly linked to drive organizational goals. To that end, these focused digital experiment campaigns will influence and drive the organization’s strategic business decisions and investment optimization for site capabilities and features.
Responsibilities of this role include:
  • Deliver actionable, data-driven insights to help drive improvements to our customer experience and deliver profitable growth on
  • Ideate, design and analyze MVTs and A/B/N tests with clear hypotheses
  • Generate actionable insights
  • Tell the story - communicate insights and recommendations to business partners and leaders
  • Drive an experimentation-led culture
  • Interact globally with all levels of the organization and teams including Product Management, Engineering, Design & Research, and other Analytics professionals to identify, build, and launch insightful tests
  • Consult with cross-functional teams to identify, define, size, and prioritize strategic tests for conversion optimization.


  • 5+ years of experience in MVT and A/B/N Test & Learn and vendors in this field is highly desired
  • Strong knowledge of Web analytics (i.e. Adobe Analytics)
  • Knowledge of product development and Agile/Scrum preferred
  • Exposure to Lean Startup validated learning methods is a plus
  • Ability to distill complex digital concepts into clear, concise business approaches
  • Demonstrates strong written and verbal communication with the ability to exhibit strong executive presence and collaborative/interpersonal skills
  • Proven record to build relationships and influence broadly across the organization
  • Ability to be a “change agent” by evaluating, analyzing, and implementing necessary changes; brings different perspectives to situations
  • Demonstrates strategic thought leadership and can convey success and organizational growth via business decisions
