The Aviation Business Analyst is responsible for providing cross functional support for the Business Administration and Scheduling/Dispatch functions of American Express Aviation.  This position is an integral part of a dynamic and fast paced business-facing Aviation team that requires seamless collaboration, technical expertise, and coordination across a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. Identified as a position leading to future growth and development, The Analyst will be responsible for a broad range of activities and will participate in critical projects that will ensure execution of the department’s overall strategic objectives.  Experience in business aviation, or an interest in obtaining experience, is preferable.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Support daily financial responsibilities to maintain the department’s business operations
  • Support department fuel program, which includes fuel purchase reconciliation, expense report submission, and FuelerLinx reconciliation 
  • Corporate Purchasing Card statement reconciliation
  • Monitoring, analysis, and reconciliation of executive non-business travel related expenses
  • Accounts Payable Vendor Invoice Reconciliation
  • Procurement – Contract Administration and Vendor Onboarding
  • Reconciliation of international service fees
  • Compilation of data for metric dashboard reporting
  • Ensure department personnel possess appropriate international travel documentation (G3 Air Crew Document Control)
  • Support Technology Assets Program (iPad, iPhone, laptops, etc.)
  • Drives or assists in special projects or other duties as delegated
  • Proactively communicates relevant Aviation industry information, which includes industry news, current events, and other reporting matters


  • Able to be flexible in terms of work schedule outside of normal business hours when occasionally required;
  • A team player who is dependable and exhibits enthusiasm;
  • Strong skills in Microsoft Office applications (e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Excel) and Outlook;
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and oral, strong interpersonal, and collaborating skills;
•     Exceptional organizational and administrative skills;
  • Able to think ‘end-to-end’ through assigned projects and responsibilities;
  • Able to work independently and thrive in an environment of frequently shifting priorities;
  • Able to work under pressure, to tight deadlines and with strong attention to detail and timely follow-up;
  • Working knowledge of aviation related technology applications strongly preferred
  • Knowledge and experience in financial accounting and analysis
  • Education Requirement – College Degree in Aviation Management or Business related area of study
