Job Description

American Express Company seeks Directors, Strategic Analysis & Testing to supervise a team of analytical professionals in offering high-visibility, end-to-end data-centered solutions to business problems of internal partners globally.  Manage an analytic engagement pipeline for a variety of customers across levels and markets, establishing prioritization principles for the team.  Oversee the assessment of business needs and ensure analytical solutions developed are consistent with the business’s requirements.  Lead the standardization and development of offerings, ensuring the delivery of analytics with an Agile mindset and product-managing existing insights and reporting tools.  Accountable for enhancing processes for delivering customer services.


Position requires a Master’s degree in Business Administration, Statistics, Mathematics, or a related field, and 3 years of experience with applying statistical analysis and modeling, as well as data analytics, to risk management strategies.  Experience must include: 3 years of experience with machine learning; 3 years of experience with marketing test design and measurement; 3 years of experience with spatial-temporal data analytics; 3 years of experience with statistical modeling, Datameer, Skytree, Hadoop, Hive, Pig, Python, R, SQL, and SAS; 3 years of experience with developing products in an Agile environment across the SDLC, including vendor management and solution verification; and 3 years of with project management experience driving marketing strategies via analytics, including segmentation, in the credit or charge card industry.
