Global Merchant Services Marketing is dedicated to bringing buyers and sellers together and transforming how American Express is welcomed. GMS Marketing is responsible for driving growth, accelerating coverage and enhancing the value of American Express acceptance to merchants and Cardmembers at scale. We focus on enhancing our relationships with millions of merchants of all sizes and while focused on Europe, we also work with commerce hubs across the globe including the U.S, Canada, Latin America, the Caribbean, Europe and the Asia-Pacific region.

 

It is also critical for GMS Marketing to collaborate effectively with Card Issuing teams and other sister organizations across the Blue Box in order to fully harness the power of the closed loop via mediums including Custom Consulting, Offers, Recommendations, Multi-Merchant Campaigns, Digital Experiences and Brand Awareness. GMS Marketing partners with organizations including Client Management, Marketing Operations, Information Management, Enterprise Digital, Global Advertising and Brand Management and Global Servicing Network.

France is a key market for GMS Europe, and in this highly visible role you will be responsible for the developing strategic marketing for our largest merchant accounts, as well as the management of the Amex Offers digital marketing platform with the objective driving both driving both Merchant and Cardmember engagement.

  

For large Accounts:

  • Implementation of loyalty strategy for large accounts : work closely with creative agencies, printers, Cheetahmail
  • Deliver marketing consultation to large accounts to understand their strategy and translate it into appropriate marketing actions
  • E2E management of marketing operations : define communications, use internal tools to target and launch communications, analysis & presentation of results
  • Deliver agreed campaigns within plan (timing, budget, internal compliance/processes)
  • Support and collaborate closely with a large number of stakeholders, including sales team and central team
  • Effectively prioritize competing demands and simultaneous projects
  • Manage the marketing funds for selected accounts
  • Understand the GMS strategy and objectives and apply it to marketing projects

Qualifications


Desired Profile:

  • Bac + 4/5 from business school or equivalent university, with specialisation in marketing or communication
  • Mastery of techniques of digital marketing
  • Experience managing project budgets
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate to internal and external stakeholders, notably in presenting impactful oral and written communications
  • Ability to influence, overcome obstacles
  • Demonstrate growth mindset and will-to-win
  • Fully fluent in French and English
