Job Description

 As a key member of the Digital Acquisition team, you will be responsible for driving new card acquisition and billed business through two large digital channels 1) Site marketing and 2) Email marketing.
The Marketing Analyst/Sr. Marketing Analyst role will be critical in supporting the digital acquisition team with strategic and innovative thinking to move the business forward. In addition, you will have product level acquisition ownership responsibilities to consolidate results for certain product lines across both online and offline channels.
Your core responsibilities will include:
Site Marketing:
  • Lead the development of end-to-end plans to drive card acquisition through the Site
  • Partner with Amex Digital Center of Excellence team(s) to launch new Site and Email capabilities within the Canada market
  • Partner with Amex Digital Center of Excellence team(s) to manage continuous UXUI A/B testing  to improve and optimize the customer experience to increase conversions
  • You will be responsible for further enhancing the end-end site experience for new prospects via new content development and dynamic content capabilities to drive acquisition on the American Express site
  • Seamless execution of acquisition marketing campaigns
Email Marketing:
  • Lead the development of end-to-end plans to drive card acquisition through the Email channel
  • Expand our Lead Generation footprint by partnering with new and existing external parties  to significantly grow and capture incremental email leads
  • Help set the strategy to rapidly expand and grow the email marketing channel outside of Lead Generation
  • Develop and manage a robust acquisition email marketing curriculum via nurturing campaigns to increase conversions from leads captured  
  • Maximize the reach of our captured leads by tapping into new digital acquisition channels focused on people based marketing (i.e. Display and Social)
  • Seamless execution of acquisition marketing campaigns
Product Ownership:
  • Participate in developing the acquisition strategy for our Proprietary Lending suite of products to propel growth while maximizing ROI
  • Consolidating weekly and monthly acquisition results for assigned channels and products and presenting to key stakeholders
  • Ability to exercise excellent analytical skills by drawing insights and trends from data and delivering sound recommendations
  • Aligning with external and internal partners on business plans; and ensuring continued alignment through regular updates with key stakeholders
  • Continuously expand and optimize digital channels to deliver against planned goals
  • Coordinating key work streams with external media agencies and creative agencies, including preparing marketing briefs
  • Be an active and vocal digital evangelist to instill digital first thinking across the organization
  • Deep understanding of and a passion for digital channels with a forward-thinking mindset
  • Passion to drive results and push innovation forward through digital capabilities or through a digital lenses
  • Interest in developing frictionless user experiences within the digital space

  • Bachelor of Commerce and/or MBA in Marketing Management, Business, or Finance
  • 2-4 years of experience in  marketing or product management
  • Strong business acumen
  • Proven track record of driving results

  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Outstanding coordination and project management skills
  • Experience in financial services preferred
