American Express is about to launch the first phase of an exciting new partnership with America’s largest consortium of travel agencies in the B2B and B2C space, Travel Leaders Group (TLG).  This partnership spans across the enterprise, and will bring new value to our Card members while enhancing our ability to meet the travel needs of our customers.  A few critical components of this program include establishing a new lead generation/acquisition channel, building a new benefit for our Gold Consumer and Small Business products, and expanding customers’ ability to use points for travel bookings.  This team will serve as the key relationship owners for the partnership and oversee the end to end program across the enterprise.  As such, the team will lead building, launching and scaling additional phases of the partnership and optimizing those rolling out in May.
  • Provide project management across stakeholders (Consumer Product and Acquisition, Small Business Product and Acquisition, Merchant Services, etc.), identifying opportunities and obstacles/risks, developing recommendations, and ensuring deliverables are optimally executed
  • Execute strategies to strengthen partnership relationships, identifying gaps and strategies to bridge them
  • Drive (in partnership with key SMEs) the strengthening of the partnership value proposition for American Express.  Including growing agent participation, developing compelling marketing, optimizing both digital and phone acquisition journeys, increasing charge volume, leveraging the broad agent network, etc.
  • Ensure adherence to contract, compliance, legal and regulatory components of the relationship in close partnership with the General Counsel’s Office, Operational Risk Management, Technologies, Compliance Officers and more. 
  • Develop and deliver comprehensive reporting to track the success/ROI for the execution and steady state operations of partnership

  • Capacity to be agile and pivot appropriately when challenged with new information or evolving circumstances

  • Proven track record in complex environments
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
  • Previous experience in the partnership space

Employment eligibility to work with American Express in the U.S. is required as the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for these positions.
