Job Description

American Express Travel Related Services seek a Manager, Data Quality, under the supervision of a Director, to define key performance indicators as success metrics for the data quality of financial IT systems.  Devise methods for identifying data patterns and trends in available data sources.  Define strategies to drive data quality measurement, produce data quality dashboards and reports, and implement data quality strategies to effectively govern data and improve data quality.  Work with data quality partners and Technology teams to identify and implement data quality tools.  Identify critical data elements, data quality rules, thresholds, and other business requirements.  Assist in the remediation of Audit and Regulatory feedback on the data quality program.


Position requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related STEM field, followed by 5 years of progressively responsible experience with performing data quality analysis, monitoring data quality, and consulting on data quality enhancements.  Experience must include: 4 years of experience with Core Java, Struts, JSP, Servlets, IBM RAD, Net Beans, Eclipse IDE, Oracle, DB2, SQL Server, VSS, and SVN; 3 years of experience with defining and implementing data quality programs; 3 years of experience with implementation of US Basel II and Basel III final rules, and OFSAA; and 2 years of experience with data profiling, scorecards, dashboards, KPIs, and integration with metadata.
