The Director, Acquisition – Proprietary Digital Channels, will be responsible for consumer card acquisition on the following digital channels: Site Marketing, Search, Display Media and Online Referrals. This person will lead a team of highly capable managers and analysts and will work closely with external agencies and central Amex teams to run industry leading digital marketing programs. This Director will also act as the single point of contact within the acquisition team for proprietary charge and lending products and will be responsible for cross-channel campaigns as well as holistic performance reporting related to these products. In addition to driving strong results, as a senior member of the team, this person will be expected to contribute to overall strategies that shape Amex business in Canada and to the growth of our talent.

With a proven track record as a strong people leader, this Director will have strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to influence and manage stakeholders at various levels of the organization while maintaining an Enterprise first mindset. 
Business Management
  • Profitably grow billed business on the assigned digital acquisition channels through continuous testing, learning and optimizing
  • Grow traffic generation through traditional and programmatic display media, partnerships, promotion as well as new and innovative approaches
  • Develop a deep understanding of acquisition levers in the local market while influencing international digital marketing and product development priorities to ensure local acquisition needs are addressed
Business Leadership
  • Be an active member of the Canadian leadership team and contribute to business decisions that go beyond immediate responsibilities in the acquisition space
  • Stay abreast of industry trends and formulate innovative strategies to further advance our digital marketing programs
  • Be a passionate digital thought leader helping to strengthen digital acumen and sophistication in all parts of the organization
People Management
  • Lead a highly motivated team in building out comprehensive plans while maximizing resources across the floor to deliver exceptional results
  • Continuously seek ways to streamline processes and strengthen team’s ability to operate in an agile manner aimed at accelerating operations
People Leadership
  • Inspire and lead a diverse and talented team of managers and analysts with a focus on their professional growth
  • Be a motivational leader with the ability to make intelligent and difficult decisions in a timely manner
