Job Description

The Director, Strategy & Process Improvement (S&PI) is responsible for the identification, planning and delivery of strategic initiatives that enable the Controllership organization within Finance to achieve their objectives. The S&PI team is part of the broader Strategic Enablement & Governance (SEG) Team empowering teams to achieve Organizational Excellence through industry leading Governance, Controls and Innovation. The candidate will also lead a team, focused on the delivery and execution of these key Controllership initiatives. In addition, the candidate will be responsible for providing senior Relationship Management support to various parts of the Controllership organization. 
 
Principal Accountabilities: 
  • Lead the strategic development and functional execution of initiatives that enable Global Controllership to deliver process efficiencies, improve control and compliance, and expand the utilization of technology
  • Interface with senior leaders and lead brainstorming and creative strategy discussions – comfortably working in the white space and setting parameters for success
  • Analyze benchmark industry information, external/ internal research to provide recommendations for changes and improvements to business systems and processes
  • Communicate progress, escalating road blocks and clear and timely communication to project team and sponsors
  • Work extensively with the initiative stakeholders and business process owners to coordinate end to end requirements, design, testing and deployment including change management associated with the initiative
  • Lead Program/ Project Management for multiple complex, cross-functional (FinTech) initiatives
  • Create and execute talent management strategies that generate a pipeline of top talent to meet evolving business needs
  • Support and deliver development guidelines, frameworks, toolkits and methodologies in order to continually upskill the organization

Qualifications

  • Proven strategic thought leadership skills with ability to translate ideas into well-defined executable strategy & solutions
  • 5-7 years of relevant experience in driving Project Management, Process Transformation and Reengineering, with proven ability to lead multiple large-scale initiatives, simultaneously 
  • Understanding of Process Mapping, Analysis and other relevant Six Sigma methodology
  • Understanding of Agile / Design Thinking
  • Strong relationship management and conflict resolution skills with a proven track of positively collaborating, influencing and extensively coordinating with internal and external partners including senior leaders
  • Solution oriented, with proven ability to drive to results
  • Good understanding of Technology and ability to work with Technology partners to drive to solutions
  • Demonstrated strategic thinking and results driven approach with an ability to convert strategic vision into clear project outcomes
  • Proven ability to execute on tight deadlines and be an agent of organizational change; strong change management and transformation experience
  • Strong team player with ability to influence opinions and a track record of leading, motivating, inspiring and developing others.
  • People leader with record of increasing levels of responsibility and proven ability to lead teams, inspire, motivate and develop others
  • Excellent communication skills; able to convey strategic insight and thought leadership in identifying emerging issues and delivering high quality and actionable feedback to leadership
  • Strong relationship building experience; ability to develop relationships with VP-level leaders, control function peers and leadership teams
  • High Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, Power Point) is a requirement, able to manage large quantities of data, arranging and analyzing information to identify patterns and root causes
  • Big 4 or Tier 1 management consulting experience preferred, although not required
  • Experience in Finance and Controllership preferred
  • BS in Business, Finance, Accounting, Statistics, or closely related fields. MBA preferred but not required
