Job Description

The Global Client Group in Merchant Services is responsible for managing some of American Express’ largest and most strategic merchant relationships.  The Analyst position will be responsible for driving the day-to-day support of the Global Client Management team within Merchant Services.  Specifically, this role will be responsible for supporting the account owners and merchants in the airline and online travel agent industry verticals. 
This position provides an opportunity to develop a broad knowledge of the Merchant Services business, gain experience working as part of global organization as well as insight into the client management function.  He/she will report into a Director.
Major Responsibilities Include:
  • Support the ongoing global data management & reporting needs for internal and external customers
  • Manage the portfolio marketing budget, responsible for payment of all marketing costs, processing cash out requests and regular financial reporting to the finance business partners
  • Manage all team reporting requirements, including ongoing and ad-hoc requests
  • Lead industry projects and initiatives
  • Provide ongoing airline/OTA reporting to the account management team
  • Play an active role in the team, contributing ideas and recommendations to help drive growth of charge volume across the portfolio, including driving process improvement and efficiencies
  • Share and leverage best practices across the group
