The Network Engineering & Optimization (NEO) team drives extraordinary service value and engagement through new insights, strategic partnering, and disciplined delivery.
This manager role in Network Engineering & Optimization (NEO) will be a leader supporting our Center of Excellence for Customer Profiles & Demographics.  Specifically, this manager will be delivering on our strategic roadmap to utilize customer data and insights to transform various customer journeys across the Global Services Group.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following day to day activities:
  • Oversee day to day Project Management activities and regularly interact with various levels of leadership within Customer Profiles & Demographics
  • Leading a team of engineers and analysts to support enhanced servicing & economic downturn readiness by improving demographic data coverage and quality for our Card Members
  • Driving tactical delivery of strategic themes, including execution of efforts to capture demographic data updates
  • Leverage the Customer360 platform to create a pipeline of ideas to improve GSG processes while putting the Customer First
  • Managing project scope, sequencing, and prioritization
  • Creating communications & updates to key stakeholders/leadership

  • Experience in Project Management, Business Management, or similar background is required
  • People leadership experience of engineers and/or analysts
  • Proven ability to lead and influence teams either with or without direct authority
  • Proven track record delivering results and exceeding aggressive targets
  • Strong thought leadership skills, coupled with excellent collaborative and influencing skills
  • Strong negotiation skills and ability to build strong relationships across different organizations
  • Ability to focus on strategic objectives and initiatives while managing everyday business needs
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills and the ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Strong sense of personal accountability and demonstrated self-starter
  • Degree in Engineering or related field
  • Knowledge of Amex systems, including Credit & Collections platforms
  • Experience in Agile, SAFe, or similar methodologies
