Global Credit and Fraud Network (GCFN) is at the center of some of the company’s most important priorities – increasing revenue, protecting our assets and being prepared for the inevitable economic downturn, whenever it may come.  Our credit strategies play an important role in helping the company grow by bringing the right customers into our franchise more quickly and enabling spend.  As the company focuses on expanding its role within the commercial space, we have an important role to play in managing the credit experience for businesses of all sizes.
 
The Global Commercial Credit Integration (GCCI) team is responsible for creating and executing a credit strategy for Global Commercial Services customers, from small business owners to large corporate clients. The team work closely with partners in Risk, Compliance and the Business to seamlessly integrate new and existing commercial products while ensuring the right underwriting and collections strategies are in place.
 
The successful candidate will be responsible for identifying and managing multiple strategic and analytical projects from ideation through implementation aimed at reducing friction and improving collection effectiveness. The role will include a focus on process improvements, building strong relationships with partners across the Company and driving optimal strategy for end-to-end commercial credit and collections portfolios across all markets.

This position requires both strong analytical skills as well as the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously in a dynamic environment based on business needs.

Responsibilities include:
  • Collaborate with commercial collections organization, commercial product business owners, CFR and capabilities teams to ensure seamless implementation for new products and strategies, as well as changes to existing products and strategies
  • Lead various initiatives to develop actions, capability enhancements and process improvements to drive improved collections effectiveness
  • Provide strategy support for developing actions required in the event of an economic downturn
  • Provide strategy support for creation of roadmap to make commercial credit and collections on par with Consumer
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key partners to deliver on targets, customer experience and compliance mandates
  • Review current credit and collections processes, recommending improvements where relevant
  • Provide strategy support to design/revise strategy in compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Provide strategy support on any MAP/CAP/Risk event   

Qualifications

 
  • Bachelor's Degree in Business or other related field
  • At least 3 years of experience in Credit, Collections or Risk Management
  • In-depth, end-to-end knowledge of credit and collections processes, products and procedures preferred 
  • Strong strategic thinking and analytical skills, with prior experience using SQL 
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially MS Excel, Visio and PowerPoint
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully drive results for multiple projects and stakeholders simultaneously
  • Proven ability to build collaborative and trusting relationships
  • Experience in the evaluation, analysis and optimization of operational processes
  • Superior thought leadership
  • Highly organized and detail-oriented
  • Demonstrated ability to influence without authority and collaborate to drive decisions
  • Must be an outstanding analytical thinker and problem solver, comfortable working with data and able to resolve complex problems independently

  • Must possess high motivation, enthusiasm and dedication to deliver results within strict timeframes
