You’ll do more than the expected. You’ll do the unexpected. 


American Express is looking to recruit a payroll professional to join the UK Payroll Team, based in Burgess Hill.


You will join a highly experienced team who are responsible for the delivery of UK payrolls in excess of 5,000 employees, on a monthly basis. You will assist the team in delivering these payrolls accurately and to tight deadlines, as well assisting in a number of additional projects, and manual processes.


In order to be considered for this role you must be able to demonstrate previous experience processing high volume monthly payrolls from start to finish. You should have a good understanding of UK PAYE legislation and a good understanding of how to calculate deductions such overpayments, maternity, sickness payments, Tax and National Insurance.

Qualifications

Required skills:
  • Proven experience in UK Payroll
  • Must have a good understanding of UK PAYE
  • Knowledge of SAP Payroll or ADP Global View would be an advantage
  • Confident and articulate with the ability to communicate to Senior Stakeholders within the organisation
  • Ability to work within a pressurised environment & to effectively meet tight deadlines.
