Job Description

This person is responsible for managing existing partnership deals (e.g. Mizuho Bank) and developing new acquisition channels / new distribution partners. This role will be an enabler of RCP’s growth strategy in Japan by leveraging the F2F and Digital card acquisition models, evolving our current suite of products and developing new solutions to accelerate card acquisition. 

In addition this role will support the Product team to develop CM benefits that can be applied as effective tools in new partnership development. 


The incumbent responsibilities are as follows:


- Managing overall strategic processes including identifying potential target channels and partners


- Negotiation of new and existing partnership deals and by development of effective proposals to partners based on ICS product value and partner value


- Sizing opportunities and building CBA’s working closely with product, sales and finance teams


- Contract signing and implementation of new product and CM benefit launches, working with and across LOBs such as NPD, Technology, Product, Sales, GCO, Controllership, Compliance, Risk, GMS, GCP, PA&C and Central team  


- Partner management and strong relationship building after product/service launch

Qualifications

1. Strategic thinking, with ability to drive results and develop winning strategies; not afraid to challenge the status quo


2. Ability to develop and drive card acquisition


3. Strong negotiation skill and experience


4. Ability to build and manage effective relationships with internal and external partners


5. Possess an understanding of the financial/card business model of network brands


6. Ability to develop CBA’s with financial and analytical skills


7. Understand AXP and ICS product value/Partner value and incorporate them into concrete proposals to prospective partners


8. Marketing and creative development experience working closely with Agencies and Acquisition teams 


9. Native level Japanese and business level English
