Program Manager – Digital Workplace Content Management

This position will support transformation across multiple Technology Platforms supporting content management products including File Shares, Enterprise File Sync and Share Tools, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business and Managed Content Services including print.  The role has responsibility for planning, directing and coordinating large strategic programs from initiation through to implementation. Leads cross-functional project and program teams and works with internal customers to establish and interpret project/program objectives into solutions. Responsible for handling project/program costs, resources, risk and issues to ensure that objectives are realized. Provide regular program status updates. 

 

Key Responsibilities:

 

Responsible for leading multiple projects or highly complex or enterprise-wide program(s) consisting of multiple projects

Develops the program strategy and the various enterprise-wide high-level project plans and ensures that scope and approach are fully understood by all stakeholders

Ensures integration of projects and adjusts project scope, timing, and budgets as needed, based on objectives

Identifies and tracks key milestones and recommend adjustments to cross-functional team plans

Ensures accurate reflection of project/program budgets, forecasts and actuals within project and program management tools

Monitors and communicates the progress of the project or program delivery and ensures timely and effective communication of the status in terms of cost, forecast, schedule and assessment of risks/issues

Negotiates and influences cross-functional teams to ensure appropriate resourcing levels are engaged and maintained throughout the execution of the plan

Pro-actively anticipates program/project risks and issues and ensures that appropriate mitigation planning is in place to avoid compromising delivery

Ensures effective usage of change control procedures and processes to retain control on scope, schedule and cost

Adds to continual process improvement or re-engineering activities

Communicates with key stakeholders with regard to program strategy direction and changes


Qualifications

Education & Experience:

5+ years extensive business/industry work experience, with shown experience in a leadership role and project management role

Requires financial acumen in terms of representing project/program financials using internal tools as necessary

Requires solid experience leading multiple, cross-functional projects or programs

Prior experience in multiple IT disciplines with a proven understanding of technology concepts (business, data, technical and solution) and track record of delivery

Experience using several methodologies that is applicable to an agile product environment

· Certification requirement: Project Management Professional (PMI) or equivalent Project Management certification (e.g. Certified Project Management Practitioner, International Project Management Association)

Bachelor’s Degree in related field required; advanced degree preferred

Knowledge / Skills:

Ability to lead cross-functional, large/complex program or multiple programs

Ability to adapt to situations in order to quickly resolve issues and/or gain alignment

Ability to communicate with all leadership levels

Ability to effectively negotiate and influence to reach desired outcomes

Ability to use business and technical experience to identify impacts or risks and create plans to mitigate them

Strong business acumen with the ability to identify key issues and their impact in a broad business context

Strong track record of managing multiple projects/programs simultaneously, with a demonstrated maturity and ability to influence without authority 

Strong focus on driving results and collaboration across diverse teams

Proven ability to work independently and provide thought leadership to stakeholders and project teams

Ability to get industry leading solutions to market efficiently and effectively

Strong Microsoft skills especially in Project, Excel, Access, Powerpoint, Word, Visio

Strong communication and presentation skills, both oral and written.  Must be able to communicate effectively and build relationships with individuals at all organizational levels and in multiple situations and settings.

Requires financial acumen in terms of representing project financials within Clarity and the ability to translate project financials to program level financial reports

Practical experience in effective time management, including ability to prioritize & multitask

Knowledge and development experience building diagrams and creating dynamic presentations

Prior experience in multiple IT disciplines (voice, video and/and web) with an understanding of architectural concepts (data, technical and solution), issues and trends.
