Growing consumer lending and winning share from our existing customers are top priorities as American Express mobilizes to capitalize on key growth opportunities. The Global Consumer Lending organization is focused on evolving our portfolio and approach with the aim to transform the way we meet Card Members’ borrowing needs in an evolving landscape. The Lending Treatments team plays a critical role managing and enhancing key lending treatments to drive Organic AR growth for the US Consumer Card portfolio. 

As a member of the Lending Treatments team, the Analyst/Senior Analyst will drive team goals of increasing cardmember lend and further engaging cardmembers through core programs such as line increases, income capture, balance transfer and cash advance. Further, this role will work with the team to identify new opportunities and help lead the launch of new treatments and marketing channels. The Analyst/Senior Analyst will partner closely with diverse partners – finance, pricing, risk, product, marketing, tech, legal, and compliance – to maintain and enhance existing and new Lending treatments. 

Job Responsibilities: 

  • Collaborate with partners across American Express to identify, test, and build program enhancements including targeting and segmentation, offer testing, digital channel reach, contact strategy, creative positioning, enrollment journeys, and reinforcement strategies
  • Work with tech and marketing to develop and launch new best-in-class customer experiences and marketing channels for Lending treatments 
  • Identify pain points in the current user experience through research, complaints analysis and feedback from customer service 
  • Manage key online enrollment assets, marketing claims and service team resources 
  • Support Operational Excellence initiatives as needed 


  • 1+ years in a product, marketing or finance related role
  • Proven project management skills and ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously
  • Strong relationship building skills and ability to collaborate across multiple cross-functional partners
  • Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills; experience in (or strong desire to learn) manipulating data through programming languages (e.g. SAS, SQL or Python) is preferred but not required
  • Will-to-win and flexible "can do" attitude
  • Passion for customer experience
