Job Description

The Global Commercial Payments Strategic Partnerships team is charged with cultivating new business relationships with industry leading companies that will accelerate our 3-year strategy and vision. This individual will serve as a key member of the partnerships team in GCS tasked with creating  and enhancing the value proposition for GCS’s customer base through new product and service offerings, improved distribution, as well as enhanced feature sets to complement the current best in class card and payment service offerings. This individual will play an integral role in defining and developing unique new partnership opportunities to support this objective and work cross-functionally to align the interests across GCS. Additionally, this role will play a critical role in supporting other inorganic growth opportunities that can help accelerate GCS’s priorities. This role requires a strong leader who can manage multiple workstreams and stakeholders to effectively achieve the goals of these partnerships.

 
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Support strategic partnership initiatives on behalf of GCS; evaluate and define new opportunities including the business case and implementation plan
  • Work cross-functionally and with external partners to solve problems, deliver solutions, and provide thought leadership
  • Play a key role in deal negotiations and partner management
  • Develop and manage governance structures, project management dashboards with all partners to ensure successful execution of new business plan
  • Stay abreast of the competitive and technological changes and innovations impacting the industry
  • Prepare and present updates on strategy development and progress to GCS Senior Management

Qualifications

  • Demonstrates strategic thought leadership and intellectual curiosity to proactively identify opportunities, anticipate challenges, and provide creative solutions
  • Partner management, business development and/or deal experience a plus
  • Strong financial acumen and analytical skill-set; experience in investment banking, strategic consulting, business development or venture capital a plus
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills; ability and comfort synthesizing large amounts of information for senior leadership
  • Superior relationship and influence management skills working with internal and external parties
  • Highly motivated self-starter with the ability to achieve successful results while working in a fast-paced environment with white space
  • Experience in the Commercial/B2B space a plus
  • MBA or equivalent preferred
