Job Description

We are looking for a great full-stack JavaScript/Ruby developer who is proficient with React.js.

 

Your primary focus will be on developing API and services that communicate with user interface components which will be implemented using the well-known React.js workflows (such as Flux or Redux). You will ensure that these components and the overall application are robust and easy to maintain.

 

The candidate must have multiple years experience working with point of sale systems and understand 3rd party APIs like the omnivore API. The candidate must understand in detail how a point of sale works, how it stores data and how it communicates that data. The candidate should have good knowledge of payment systems and providers in general.

 

You will coordinate with the rest of the team working on different layers of the infrastructure. Therefore, a commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and quality product is important. You should have previous experience building web interfaces and a solid understanding of design language systems.

 

 

 

Responsibilities

Developing new user-facing features using React.js

Building reusable cross platform components and front-end libraries for future use

Translating designs and wireframes into high quality code

Optimizing components for maximum performance across a vast array of web-capable devices and browsers

Qualifications

Skills

  • Strong proficiency in JavaScript and CSS, including DOM manipulation and the JavaScript object model
  • Thorough understanding of React.js and its core principles
  • Experience with popular React.js workflows (such as Flux or Redux)
  • Familiarity with newer specifications of EcmaScript
  • Experience with data structure libraries (e.g., Immutable.js)
  • Knowledge of isomorphic React is a plus
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs
  • Familiarity with modern front-end build pipelines and tools
  • Experience with common front-end development tools such as Babel, Webpack, NPM, yarn, etc.
  • Ability to understand business requirements and translate them into technical requirements
  • Ability to perform benchmarking and optimization
  • Knowledge of Accessibility and Web Standards
  • Experience with both Responsive and Adaptive Web Design
  • Experience with using design language systems or similar
