Are you a Privileged Access Management (PAM) professional who is up for the challenge of driving the enterprise secrets management strategy for a Fortune 100 financial services company?  We are looking for an established Identity and Access Management (IAM) professional who’s adept at understanding and solving complex technical challenges and who is also able to lead a program by working with key technology stakeholders and Information Security leadership.  Our large enterprise landscape requires a person in this role who is capable of dealing with a large and diverse technology environment; DevOps, OpenShift, On-premises and public Cloud, legacy distributed systems (Linux, Windows), Mainframe, database, Active Directory, RACF, and more.  Come work with one of the top IAM organizations on the planet and help us by making a difference.
 
Our Mission
Develop and drive execution of our enterprise secrets management strategy to ensure passwords and other authentication secrets used by applications, systems, and processes are protected, well managed, and securely used.  We are driven by reducing risk, improving our customer experience (end users, developers, systems administrators, and more), and to improve efficiencies through smarter integration and automation.
 
The Team
The Privileged Access Management (PAM) Architecture & Engineering team drives strategy and solutions across the PAM technology landscape at American Express (AXP).  As part of the Identity & Access Management (IAM) organization within Information Security, we serve a critical role in enabling AXP to protect our brand, our business, our shareholders, our card members, and our employees from the ongoing and persistent cyber threat.

Qualifications

The Skills
  • Strong understanding and delivery of solutions for modern cloud architectures and development practices (Docker, DevOps, Developer Experience).
  • Working knowledge of best in class secrets management solutions (shared account password management, SSH key management, application-to-application password management, encryption keys, and other secrets types).
  • Ability to balance risk reduction, user experience, and cost/efficiency requirements when developing solutions for the enterprise.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with business executives, Information Security leadership, and enterprise technology platform owners (leadership, architects, engineers, developers).
  • A thought leader who leans into the challenge and helps others to understand the objectives and how best to arrive at the destination.  Someone who makes it happen!
  • Demonstrated competency with Identity and Access Governance (IAG) practices, solutions, and compliance requirements.
  • Meaningful track record of delivering program objectives in a large and diverse enterprise environment.
  • Strong background with common software development practices and platforms (Java, JBoss, Docker, API integration, DevOps, Agile, Cloud architectures, and application authentication security.
