New Cardmember Acquisition & servicing account for some of the largest investments in the Global Services Group (GCSG). The Enterprise Digital & Analytics (EDA) team within GCSG is a dynamic environment of digital Products and analytics professionals that drive significant value for American Express through innovative solutions.

The Marketing Analyst internship will provide a fantastic opportunity American Express Digital Capabilities through data. The analyst, Enterprise Digital Application and Platform Analytics team will support improvements in Digital Platform management, analytics and reporting. S/he will drive business results through a metric driven view of digital platform performance, digital identity and various other platform services. S/he will identify how and where the customers on American Express websites are facing usability challenges caused by platform performance. S/he will create a regular reporting to measure platform health. This ultimate objective is to enhance the growth of acquisition volumes, billings and lending receivables across the enterprise.

 
Responsibilities include:
  • Define and quantify digital platform performance.
  • Support the design of Experiments execution and perform Customer Behavioral analysis to uncover Digital optimization.
  •  Provide strategic analysis.
  • Create and maintain necessary report.
  • The successful candidate will work in a team with skills in Digital Marketing Analytics, Test & Learn, and new accounts platform. 

Qualifications

Qualifications:
  • Strong Quantitative background and analytics abilities necessary.
  • Abilities to analyze complex data and processes and robust understanding of Statistics and Design of Experiments; Experience in digital marketing analytics a plus.
  • 1-2 years of experience with industry standard analytics Package preferred. This includes SAS/SQL etc., Big Data tools (Hive, Hadoop, and Python) or Digital Analytics (Adobe).
  • Ability to work in a team with analytical and/or reporting remit.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of credit card business, AXP networks, platforms and procedures preferred.
  • Microsoft Office experience plus (specifically Excel, PowerPoint).

Educational Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in full-time undergraduate degree program with Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Engineering, or related analytical fields desired
  • Students must have a graduation date between December 2019 and June 2020
