The Global Commercial Services (GCS) Digital Acquisition team is at the forefront of digital innovation and delivers highly-engaging experiences to prospective business customers. The team strives to attract and convert new business customers through digital touchpoints in order to drive significant revenue growth for American Express. Through the use of innovative paid media tactics and creative, strategic partnerships with leading digital platforms and agencies, and a best-in-class website, the team delivers more than 50% of net new spend acquired from small business customers. Paid Search is the largest offsite digital channel, and is growing rapidly to drive significant business results. 
 
The Analyst / Senior Analyst will be a core member of the Digital Demand Generation team, and will lead analytics and reporting, data targeting, media technology, and strategic growth initiatives for Paid Search. The Analyst / Sr. Analyst will be responsible for leading all channel reporting and insights generation, managing relationships with internal technology and analytics partners, and identifying and executing on strategic opportunities to grow the Paid Search business. This role requires strong partner managements skills and involves close collaboration with internal and external partners, including Google, Microsoft, and agency, to develop and execute winning performance-marketing tactics that delight prospects and improve conversion.
 
Job Responsibilities:
  • Provide and maintain regular reporting on campaign status and performance, channel performance,  and strategic project performance
  • Present on key trends and insights to senior Digital Acquisition leadership
  • Manage targeting and audience strategy for Paid Search, and proactively identify areas for improvement and growth
  • Own channel forecasting and budget
  • Manage relationship with internal technology partners and lead key tech and data platform integrations
  • Lead new strategic initiatives for the channel, including expansion opportunities with key partners, new marketing platforms, and integration with other American Express assets
  • Partner with cross-functional teams at American Express including Product Management, Brand, Compliance, Risk, and Information Management
 

Qualifications

Qualifications:
  • 1-3 years of digital marketing, management consulting, agency, or related experience preferred
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills, with experience analyzing complex data
  • Highly organized—strong project management skills, attention to detail, and comfort operating autonomously in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong relationship building skills and the ability build effective relationships with internal and external partners
  • Passion for digital marketing, with ability to identify relevant consumer behavior trends and the impacts of new technology
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written)
  • A winning attitude – ideal candidate is a positive, team-oriented individual
  • Bachelor’s degree required
