American Express Enterprise Cloud platform (eCP) provides comprehensive platform that enables business critical applications to have Faster Time-to-Market for American Express. eCP offers dynamic rapid code-to-development models and services such as Platform-as-a-Service, Infrastructure-as-a-Service, DB-as-a-Service, Analytics-as-a-Service, Messaging-as-a-Service, CICD Pipelines, etc. for application developers in a hybrid cloud environment. eCP enables Application developers to write modern scalable cloud native applications.


Job Description:

As a Senior UX Engineer, you will be leading and driving the implementation of the next generation of Platform-as-a-Service for American Express. You will be working closely with our Software Engineers, Business Partners and Systems Engineers and have an opportunity to work with multitude of tools and technologies.


Responsibilities:

  • Communicate design ideas using user flows, diagrams, storyboards, and wireframes.
  • Work with Product Management team to understand the current needs and personas.
  • Define design standards for effective UX.
  • Work with multiple partners to iteratively develop and improve UX design and practices.
  • Understand the big picture of the goal and implement simple, elegant solutions.
  • 3-5 years of experience involved in multiple deliverables in UX.
  • Ability to work cross-team with Product Management, UI Engineering, Executives, and Customers.
  • Working knowledge tools, such as Adobe Creative Suite and InVision
  • Real passion for designing and crafting simple but elegant solutions, thinking about all aspects of design.
  • Working knowledge in multiple UX methodologies such as storyboards, wireframes, prototypes, and user stories.
  • The ability to design a UX experience from a blank slate.
  • Use an analytic based approach to test and validate design decisions
  • Experience with internal application User Experiences, such as an intranet or internally used tool.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience involved in multiple deliverables in UX.
