Position Summary

Reporting to the Marketing Director, Global Marketing - Japan, Global Commercial Payments, the role is responsible to be a focal point of marketing planning and associated marketing operation management for entire JPN marketing team.

 

Key features of the role include:


1. Marketing planning – The role is to lead and manage the marketing planning for JPN marketing team. This includes, (1) Working with key stake holders locally and regionally/centrally, make sure to build the solid local marketing plan by aligning it with the strategy and direction from Global/International Marketing as well as local GCS/ business goal, (2) Marketing budget allocation and distribution from central/regional to local functions which occurs both regularly and as needed basis, (3) Usage tracking – keep track of fund usage. Arrange/negotiate funds according to business needs, (4) Alignment with the Central/Regional team – Update allocation status and touch base with the Central team on a regular basis, (5) Provide reports to the team on a regular basis, (6) Support team on other A&P-related funds such the year-end process and other ad-hoc activities.

2. Marketing operation –The role is also to manage the marketing operations such as P.O. handling, inventory management, ad hoc basis of marketing supports so as to smoothen the marketing operation as a team and improve the efficiencies 

3. People management – The role will have one direct report to manage and team management would be required.

Qualifications

  • Planning/Operation background: Experience in managing business planning/operation will be highly regarded
  • Strong communication and relationship/negotiation skills (written and oral in both Japanese & English)
  • Customer-centric mindset, with proven ability to craft initiatives, programs that drive greater advocacy.
  • Proven track record of consistently delivering results
  • Team management experiences
  • Japanese native and business level English required (written and oral)
  • Strong ongoing desire to improve all aspect of the marketing process.
  • Willingness to be hands-on and flexible
