Director, GBS Automation Capabilities

Do you enjoy researching and evaluating the world of both business and technology looking for ways to drive additional value for the enterprise?  The Global Business Services (GBS) Automation Capabilities team is responsible for identifying and delivering results on high impact projects and initiatives leveraging process automation and other advanced technologies across GBS to drive efficiency and effectiveness.  We are looking for a collaborative self-starter who is passionate about transforming processes using new and emerging technologies and solving difficult business problems. 
 
This position is responsible for leading and motivating process automation specialists accountable for delivering reengineering and efficiencies through the elimination of repetitive manual processes across Global Business Services. Responsibilities include leading the assessment of opportunities, aligning with business partners and driving results using existing and new capabilities, ensuring that all compliance, audit and legal requirements are adhered to for all initiatives. This position is also responsible for developing a collaborative and effective business relationship with various business and technical partners and will be tasked with working with partners across all GBS functions to support the implementation of the organization’s goals.  A strong focus on process optimization and driving results will be required.
 
Key Accountabilities:
  • Develop the process for identifying, analyzing, and prioritizing new process opportunities, and assessing automation feasibility
  • Management of GBS automation roadmap, driving accountability across stakeholders in Technology and GBS functions (GSM, GREWE, SABE, ES&E), from ideation through implementation
  • Educating stakeholders across GBS on automation capabilities and future opportunities
  • Leading governance activities to ensure roll-up of business priorities across GBS
  • Collaborate and discuss strategy with enterprise Process Automation group for standardization and applicability of solutions
  • Implementing Process Automation communication plan to ensure all requestors/stakeholders are updated on status
  • Designing process solutions in accordance with standard design principles and conventions
  • Developing standards for creating and maintaining solution documentation
  • Problem solving issues that arise during development, collaborating with stakeholders to resolve, and providing timely responses and solutions as required
  • Envision and define the future state of GBS process automation products and services, focusing on deployments that deliver strong business value
  • Optimize delivery by leveraging the suite of tools available including prior deployments
  • Develop strategy for document collection and work with partners to implement any process or capability changes required
  • Other duties as required 

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:
  • Proven experience leading a global team with multi-country responsibilities and team locations
  • Strong working knowledge of automation capabilities and techniques, including OCR, RPA, NLP, machine learning and virtual assistance
  • Understanding of workflow based logic, and the ability to both understand a business process from a workflow diagram and to conceptualize it as an automated solution
  • Substantial business process improvement experience
  • Track record in the successful delivery and support of improving existing processes including the use of technology
  • Excellent communication and written skills, with the ability to present technical details to a non-technical audience
  • Strong working knowledge of agile methodologies, an ability to coordinate multiple priorities at once and an ability to work in a dynamic, time-critical environment
  • Historical background in driving reengineering and in delivering automation capabilities and technology programs
  • Proven relationship management skills and an ability to influence all levels within the organization
  • Demonstrated ability to work with external partners to transition and consolidate work activities across multiple locations worldwide
  • Experienced leader with strong ability to coach, engage, develop and provide feedback to team members
  • Knowledge of Global Business Services functions

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in related field
