An exciting opportunity has opened up to join the Amex Customer Marketing team within the UK Consumer business unit.


The UK Customer Marketing team is responsible for delivering best-in-class communications to Cardmembers promoting and reinforcing the benefits and offers associated with their Card. Within this role, the candidate will be responsible for planning and deployment of the Amex Shop Small programme, building awareness and delivering tactical offers/benefits of small business coverage amongst UK Cardmembers.


The Executive will be responsible for:

  • Executing and delivering specifically the Cardmember communications for the Shop Small annual offer campaign, focused on driving awareness and organic spend with UK Cardmembers in Small Businesses

  • Partnering across the enterprise (Merchant marketing, Commercial Services, Brand and PR) to drive ongoing awareness programme to Cardmembers.

  • Subject matter expert in Amex capabilities including CMS (Cardmember data), Analytics (Cardmember segmentation) and internal approval processes (international Marketers Hub)

  • Ongoing management and working within cost controls of the Customer Marketing A&P investment/budget

Required Skills:

  • Positive and passionate at delivering strong, compelling and differentiated communications

  • Strong B2B and B2C marketing experience

  • Previous experience executing marketing communications across all BTL channels – including Email, Print, Digital display & App and Social Media

  • Experience of working and managing third-party creative and media agencies

  • Candidate is able to build strong relationships and collaboration to drive mutual business outcomes

  • Ability to deliver on the Amex’s promise of superior service, while adhering to all legal, compliance and risk requirements

  • Comfortable in using and applying analytics to inform planning and execution of campaigns and Customer behaviour

  • Strong attention to detail, including proof-reading and application of copy and language to deliver clear and engaging Customer communications

  • Budget administration experience.
