The Amex Digital Labs team is responsible for catalyzing digital innovation at Amex by originating, incubating and managing emerging products and platforms that can be essential to our customers’ digital lives. We strive to emphasize creativity, customer centricity, and innovation.

 

The Intelligent Automation and Messaging team drives the development and delivery of intelligent conversational commerce and servicing experiences across American Express digital channels globally.

 

We are looking to recruit a bot copywriter and International bot enabler to bring to life the voice of our American Express bot across channels, which includes web, mobile, Facebook Messenger, and Apple Business Chat.  You have a fascination with all things emerging tech and a deep appreciation for user-centered experiences. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who can balance business goals with customer needs to help grow our platform and drive the digital experience.


What You Would Be Doing

  • Collaborate with global product owners to enable the voice of our American Express bot across web, mobile, Facebook Messenger and Apple Business Chat messaging channels

  • Manage U.S. bot content across all channels

  • Craft bot responses that are clear, concise, adhere to brand strategy, guidelines, and tone

  • Partner with legal and compliance to ensure content meets regulatory needs

  • Transform ideas, business opportunities, and creative vision into compelling content

  • Provide consulting to International markets across multiple time zones on content creation, including content verification and approval processes

  • Train and craft documentation for International markets on using the content management system and provide ongoing content creation and modification support

  • Effectively present work and documentation to collaborators and partners with the ability to defend decisions persuasively

  • Gather user feedback and testing takeaways to iterate

Required skills:

  • UX writer with proven experience and a penchant for critical thinking

  • Portfolio of well-crafted work showing consistent quality, versatility, and creative thinking

  • Copy creation with the end-to-end user journeys in mind across varying channels

  • Translate complex information into easy-to-follow, customer friendly copy

  • Polished presenter, clearly articulating how your copy addresses objectives and solves problems

  • Passionate UX writer with a strong belief in your personal responsibility to help the team grow and ensure quality craftsmanship that elevates the customer experience

  • Champion for teamwork, able to adapt quickly, and works well with feedback

  • Excellent written, communication, and proofreading skills, with strong attention to details

  • Strong work ethic, highly organized, ability to multitask and manage time effectively 

  • Bonus points if you’re proficient in Sketch, InVision, or other visual design tools
