We, the Investment Management team in Global Commercial Services Technology, are responsible for a portfolio of business initiatives and Opex funding. In this position you will work directly with and in support of one or more Vice President portfolios to ensure maximum value of the multi-year technical roadmap in terms of value-management and investment optimization. You will also work with Engineering Directors and Program Managers across the Technology organization to collect, consolidate, reconcile, and present Opex financial data.
Here’s just some of what you’ll be doing:
Help define, plan and build our roadmap of technology initiatives.
Provide advice on prioritization and scheduling.
Reprioritize initiatives based on resource availability and changing business priorities.
Monitor portfolios against delivery, budget, forecast, schedule and quality targets.
Complete financial analysis and craft financial reporting on IT Labor across American Express Technologies.
Facilitate the engagement and relationship between business and technology development teams.
Ensure the accuracy and consistency of information in Rally and Jira.
Assisting with the compilation of portfolio-level status reporting, and reconciliation of portfolio funding and forecasts.
Please note, salary increases in case of a lateral move are provided only on an exception basis and in line with compensation guidelines.

Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration, related field or equivalent experience.
Proven experience in a dynamic environment.
Knowledge of financial operating principles.

Possess good social skills across collaboration channels such as email, decks, group discussions, Slack, Skype, etc.
Independent self-starter to make things happen and prioritize your own work load.
Bring to bear advanced skills in Rally, Jira, and Excel (pivot tables, functions).
