Analyst/Senior Analyst, Perception of Coverage Marketing

GMS Marketing is responsible for partnering with GMS markets to drive profitable growth, accelerate coverage and enhance the value of Amex acceptance to merchants and Card Members at scale. We focus on enhancing our relationships with millions of merchants of all shapes and sizes, and our geographic purview includes many commerce hubs across the globe including the U.S, Canada, Latin America, the Caribbean, Europe and the Asia-Pacific region.
As the Marketing Analyst/Senior Analyst, Perception of Coverage (POC), you will be responsible for the end-to end product management of key POC assets such as Recommendations/Maps, Shop Small and Inbound.
This person will be an integral member of a dynamic team of marketing consultants charged with innovating, transforming and energizing value and relevancy that will drive step-change and sustainable growth for Amex. The successful candidate will bring a strong customer first mindset along with a proven ability to collaborate and drive results among a diverse stakeholder group, providing an insights-driven strategic thought leadership through marketing excellence, operating as trusted market consultants to differentiate our network and support GMS Canada to achieve its business priorities. The incumbent will be responsible to deliver key measurable business metrics such as driving active locations in force, improving merchant satisfaction, driving merchant and cardmember engagement (unique redeemers, merchant funded offer metrics as measurement)
Key Roles and Responsibilities
End to end product & Campaign Management and ownership of Amex Map, Recommendations, Inbound and Shop Small. This includes the overall Cardmember and merchant experience, eligibility, campaign performance, budget optimization and driving results toward merchant and Cardmember activation.
Drive product strategy through data analytics to create insights that drive and inform coverage marketing strategies and campaigns
Collaborate with campaign measurement team to develop regular reports to measure and analyze the performance of key business metrics, and recommend and implement strategic actions and solutions
Leverage best practices from other regions and influencing central teams on market capability
Partner with issuers to drive channel optimization and adoption of POC assets.
Partner with Client Management team to drive inbound program sell-in.

University Degree or equivalent combination of education and business experience
Minimum 2 years of experience in progressive development and management of marketing/communication campaigns, including testing strategies, analyzing business opportunities, recommending and implementing actions
Superior communication and influencing skills, analytical skills will be high regarded
Project management skills – flawless campaign execution with keen attention to details
Ability to operate productively and independently in a fast moving, high energy environment and juggle many priorities at once and manage timelines.
Proven Ability to build and leverage strong relationships, and take initiative, champion a project from conception through implementation to evaluation.
Demonstrated experience in engaging with external customers, business partners and delivering compelling programs and results
