Job Description

Function Description:
• Develop and execute the cards acquisition strategy across GNP Issuers in the India
Purpose of the Role:
• Work closely with our Bank partners to launch campaigns for sales channels to aggressively grow the NCA faster than the market
• Increase share of billings
• Activate, develop and expand Acquisition channels of the Issuers
• Implement actions to maintain product line, develop & revamp products as required, including making pitches to partner senior leadership
• Partner with Marketing to develop winning campaigns which excite customers and are value accretive to Amex and bank partners
• Understand the partner business strategies and design and execute tactical plans to enhance partner profitability, producing all key segments and objectives agreed within the context of the overall relationship and business agreements
• Develop strong relationships between American Express and the Bank partners across all operational functions (fraud, marketing, operations, acquiring, debit and business analysis) and understand its organizational politics
• Train the Issuer sales teams & managers on sales and sales management
• Track market practices & competition
• Work with Amex India linkages to drive value to our Bank partners
• Maintain the relationship with key contacts on a day to day basis
• Leverage all American Express brand sponsorship properties, product/services to deliver exceptional customer value


Functional Skills/Capabilities:
• Preferably Management Graduate with over 6 years of consumer card sales / sales management experience.
• Understanding of Payment Industry spanning across Issuing and Acquiring
• Possess understanding of other card schemes (Visa/Master Card/CUP/JCB)
• Excellent influencing, negotiation & relationship building skills, creating interest at all levels of the prospect organization, and developing strategic business solutions
• Self-motivated with a business mindset, Strong negotiation skills in win-win product and service agreements
• Excellent communication and presentation skills
• Ability to process information and incorporate feedback into an interactive business conversation
• Ability To Work with cross functional teams
• Result Oriented With Experience In Developing And Executing Successful Sales Strategies
• Ability To Articulate Knowledge About AmEx Products, Services & Experiences To Bank partners
• Comfortable with travel within India as may be required to support goals
