Job Description

 

The Analyst in this role will be part of the Decision Support COE (DSCOE) team within Corporate Planning and will be responsible for the ICS financial planning and analysis (FP&A) deliverables.  Reporting to the Manager of GCSG Decision Support COE – ICS Segment, the Analyst will work closely with the broader GCSG DSCOE team members and the GCSG Central LFO teams to provide stewardship over and insight into the Global Consumer portfolio performance.

 

In addition to BAU FP&A responsibilities, this role will work closely x-LOB DSCOE, including Finance Forward PMO teams, and across LFO teams to execute on standing up the DSCOE organization and deliver the Finance Forward transformation blueprint across capabilities and process. 

 

As a critical member within the GCSG Planning & Analysis Decision Support COE team, this position requires a highly motivated individual with an ability to work autonomously, drive results and work with ambiguity, with a proactive “can do” attitude.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Part of a team responsible for management and delivery of the Global Consumer P&L
  • Produce insightful and valuable performance analysis for LFO and Senior Management on a timely basis, focusing on trends, key business performance risks and opportunities, and related impact on investment capacity
  • Support key FP&A processes including month-end results / Risk and Opportunities, Plan and LRP responsiblities.
  • Develop tools to isolate the ‘noise’ from the monthly results and enable focus on the core growth trends in the business
  • Partnering with the LFO teams on investigation of P&L trends and variances to ensure insightful understanding of results and impact on ICS Risk and Opportunities
  • Responsible for development of financial forecasting models, all with a continuous improvement mindset and focus on driving decisions at the appropriate level of materiality.
  • Working across the organization, linking with key partners across the Global Consumer LFO teams to incorporate strategic insights and local knowledge into the GCSG planning process.
  • Support with the standardization of the GCSG forecasting process reducing time spent on forecasting
  • Continuously streamlining and automating processes while ensuring that critical information is still provided in a standardized and intuitive manner to Business and Finance leadership.

Qualifications

 

Required skills:

  • Deep knowledge of financial planning, results and analysis techniques
  • Very strong financial analysis and modelling skills are essential, with proven ability to drive analytical output aimed at identifying trends, developing key insights and required decisions for senior management.
  • Strong collaberation and relationship building ability is essential including the ability to influence others without having direct authority.
  • Being flexible, enthusiastic, able to perform under pressure, and meet deadlines in a demanding environment is critical.
  • Exceptional communication skills – verbal and written.
  • Strong working knowledge of TM1, Excel, Word and PowerPoint. Big Data experience and programming skills an advantage.
