Our Engineers that join our Technologies team will be assigned to one of several exciting teams that are responsible for development and management of business critical platforms. You will be part of a fast-paced, entrepreneurial team responsible for delivering projects platform supporting our global customer base. You will be challenged with identifying innovative ideas and proof of concept to deliver against the existing and future needs of our customers. Our Software Engineers not only understand how technology works, but how that technology intersects with the people who count on it every day. Purpose of the Role:
Contributes to analysis of business, application, and technical infrastructure requirements. Supports the design, build, enhancement and integration of infrastructure required to support the business portfolio of xPaaS infrastructure platform in terms of robustness, scalability, availability and efficiency. Supports initiatives that deliver workable end-to-end infrastructure solutions that adhere to Technology standards
 
Responsibilites:
This is individual contributor role and the person is expected to manage/ support xPaaS (Extended PaaS) services and expected to adhere the shift pattern (Full night shifts are not expected).
Ensuring good customer experience around service stability, availability and performance.
Bringing innovation and new ideas to proactively enhance the service availability, performance and stability.
Incident, change and problem management.
Automate manual tasks to reduce manual efforts and human errors.
Documenting SOP, Runbooks and knowledge base articles.
Recommending security best practices and work with security teams to plan and execute vulnerability remediation and addressing security related escalations.

Prepare Weekly and monthly status reports & Work on the service improvement programs.

Qualifications

Must have 8+ Yrs of experience supporting Cassandra, Couchbase and PostgreSQL.
 
Extensive experience in Linux performance monitoring by using system tools, security setup, troubleshooting and performance tuning as necessary to ensure optimum performance, patching of Linux servers on regular schedule
 
Installation, configuration and upgrading of Cassandra, Couchbase and PostgreSQL
 
Define and implement replication, backup and fail over solutions.
 
Sound knowledge of Linux administration (SELinux security context, services, file system, etc.)
 
Developed and implemented shell/Python and Ansible playbooks scripts to automate the maintenance jobs and batch processing.
 
Experience in change management, Incident management, RFC, Problem management & RCA.
 
Define processes, documentation and engineering diagrams for technical and operations support
 
Academic Background:
Bachelor’s/Master’s Degree in CS Or CSE or Equivalent
Functional Skills/Capabilities:
Strong logical and tourbleshooting thinking
Ability to interpret technical /business objectives and challenges
Security vulnerabliteis remediation
Agile Methodologies
Understanding of Configuration Management Tools
 
Preferred:
Cloud platform Knowledge
Knowledge of caching, no-sql and streaming tools.
Solid linux adminstration skills.
Technical Skills/Capabilities:
 
Cloud Technologies such as IaaS, PaaS, Cassandra, Couchbase, Redis, Kakfa, Linux, Openstack,  Python, Ansible and Puppet etc.
RHEL, CentOS or Ubuntu
Exposure to Cloud, good understing of IaaS and PaaS services.
 
Knowledge of Platforms:
IaaS and PaaS
