Job Description :
  • American Express, the world’s most respected service brand, has exciting opportunities within the Global Transformation & Engineering Network (GTEN) team. The GTEN team drives extraordinary service, value and customer engagement through new insights, strategic partnerships, and disciplined project delivery.
  • The team focuses rigorous analytics driven transformational change in customer contact quality and efficiency on a global scale. As a Project Manager in GTEN, you will be working in a service environment driving ideation, analytics, and projects aimed at achieving reengineering targets and improving the customer journey.
  • Other responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Data analytics and evaluation
  • Workflow and process mapping
  • Process improvement
  • Identification and defect elimination
  • Performance tracking and reporting
  • Collaboration and partnership building
  • Cost-benefit analysis and project proposal development, utilizing financial and statistical tools
  • Understand, develop, and articulate Business Needs and Functional Requirements for Technology Development Projects
  • Analyze business processes to identify opportunities which could potentially lead to improving the customer experience or drive operational efficiency     




  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, applied statistics, or decision science
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills, comfortable with processing/manipulating large amounts of complex data
  • Experience in the evaluation, analysis, and optimization of operational processes
  • 1-2 years of Project management experience
  • Highly organized and detail oriented
  • Ability to drive results effectively for multiple projects and/or tasks simultaneously
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the demonstrated ability to influence without authority and collaborate to drive decisions at all levels
  • Must possess high motivation, enthusiasm and dedication to deliver results within strict timeframes
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic and fast-paced environment
  • Outstanding analytical thinker, problem solver, decision maker with the ability to resolve complex problems.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office, especially MS Project, Excel, Visio and PowerPoint


  • Project management or Six Sigma or Agile Training/Certification
  • Experience in credit card industry, call center or service industry
  • 1-2 years of experience applying quantitative principles, tools, and analytics
