Job Description

The Global Commercial Platforms team within Enterprise Digital and Analytics (EDA), is focused on building best in class Commercial Data Platform and Capabilities to enable high quality interactions with our end customer and deliver on GCS strategic priorities

 

This role will be supporting Commercial Data Platform and Capabilities products, such as Global Data Repository (GDR), Cornerstone Commercial Data Ingestion and Commercial Organized Data Layer (CODL), in all aspects in the delivery of product enhancements, issue management, user acceptance testing, product communications, status reporting and data quality.  You will be working with global cross-functional teams, business and technology partners and stakeholders to develop, improve and maintain our commercial data.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Issue/query management including investigation and root cause analysis.
  • Support engagement process and requirements gathering working with business stakeholders and technology partners to define clear set of requirements, prioritize, set up timelines, define acceptance criteria and gain alignment where necessary.  Identify and document dependencies and risks.
  • Providing ad-hoc analysis and modeling to support product development.
  • Develop, maintain and enhance product documentation.  Educate partner groups on business logic.
  • Monitoring development & UAT progress by tracking activity, managing dependencies on partner groups, resolving problems, publishing status reports, recommending actions and escalating appropriately.
  • Production support and data analysis to ensure integrity of data post implementation and ongoing.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to enhance data availability, process efficiency through increased standardization and automation in order to reduce manual effort.
  • Assist in monitoring, researching and resolving data quality issues within the GDR.

Qualifications

  • Prior Global Commercial Services product business experience, commercial product (Corporate, OPEN, SBS) knowledge is beneficial, GDR and CODL data knowledge is a plus.
  • 2-3 Years expert SQL skills are a must, Hive or Python hands-on is a plus.
  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, other technical or business discipline, or equivalent work experience.
  • Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills for documentation, reporting and analysis needs.
  • Project Management experience and Microsoft Project is a plus.
  • Team player and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously with minimum supervision and demonstrate a sense of ownership.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, capacity to articulate complex logic in a clear and concise way to a non-technical audience.
  • Thought-leadership skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to develop an understanding of the high-level vision of project while maintaining focus on individual tasks/objectives.
  • Proven ability to quickly identify issues and/or risks as well as possible solutions and mitigation plans.
  • Proven self-starter that can execute with minimal direction.  Has strong problem solving skills with an attention to detail and is an analytical thinker and happy making decisions.
  • Preferred familiarity with project methodology (Agile) and related testing methodologies and tools (Rally/Jira).
  • Functions as a core member of an Agile team driving user story analysis & elaboration, design and development of software applications, testing and automation tools.
  • Time & workload management skills including prioritizing and responding promptly to business.
  • Experience working in traditional and/or Big Data repositories is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to collaborate with the technology organization to drive successful deployment of business solutions
  • Ability to facilitate discussions across a range of participants from technical members to business partners.
  • Partner with Big Data/Cornerstone teams for Commercial data ingestion documentation, prioritization, validation and management activities.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours.
