Senior Analyst – Direct Channels, US Customer Marketing, Travel & Lifestyle Services
 
American Express entered the travel agency business in 1915 and is today one of the world’s largest travel networks. Over 100 years later, the Travel and Lifestyle Services (TLS) organization remains at the forefront of delivering Card Member value with a focus on providing premium leisure travel and related lifestyle services to Card Members globally. American Express Travel plays an important role in overall Card product engagement, loyalty and satisfaction.
 
As part of the Global Partnerships and Marketing team within TLS, the Senior Analyst, Direct Channels will deepen Card Member engagement with TLS benefits and drive spend with TLS via smart and targeted direct channel marketing. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to inspire and educate Card Members about their various travel benefits, delivering best-in-class marketing via email and direct mail channels, while continuously innovating and optimizing marketing efforts. This role is a unique blend of digital and print channel ownership, which requires strong project management skills, the ability to flawlessly execute across different media, and collaborate with key stakeholders. 
 
Key Responsibilities:
  • Deploy direct channel marketing strategies, ensuring delivery of bookings, engagement, and revenue goals
  • Manage end-to-end execution of email and direct mail projects including: creative briefs, leading creative agencies to develop best-in-class marketing materials, managing review processes including internal and partner approvals, data targeting, and respective deployment processes for each channel
  • Partner with Senior Manager, Brand & Content to devise effective content strategies that provide relevant messaging for the right card members
  • Track and analyze performance of channel projects over time and use data to make recommendations for ongoing initiatives
  • Act as primary liaison for creative agency and deployment vendor on projects
  • Operate with a Card Member-first mindset and collaborate across the Marketing team to ensure all campaigns provide the optimal customer experience
  • Deliver on other special projects, as needed and as bandwidth allows

Qualifications

Qualifications:
  • BA, BS or comparable degree in business, marketing, or communications
  • Minimum 2-3 years previous marketing experience
  • Strong project management skills with the ability to balance multiple priorities
  • Analytical thinker who can identify insights from results to create actionable recommendations
  • Independent self-starter, solution-oriented, and able to deliver superior results under minimal supervision
  • Strong communicator and able to effectively collaborate with a multitude of stakeholders
  • Excellent attention to detail, highly organized, and able to deliver flawless marketing execution
  • Strong will-to-win and passion for delivering world-class marketing and travel
  • Results-oriented; inquisitive mindset with desire to drive innovation and growth
  • Energetic, enthusiastic, proactive
