The Global Treasury Controllership team (GTC) is part the Global Controllership Organization and is responsible for providing comprehensive global debt, derivative and investment transaction services supporting Treasury, Controllership and other Finance organizations.  The Middle Office team is a key component of GTC, responsible for covering:  exposure identification, trade capture, confirmation, settlement tracking, accounting and reporting for treasury transactions, including Foreign Exchange, Debt, Derivatives, Investments, Repos and Intercompany loans.   

 

This New York based manager role will lead the NY Middle Office team within GTC, which is responsible for trade capture, confirmation, settlement tracking, and accounting & reporting of Treasury related transactions.  The team also leads and supports various organization-wide efforts related to accounting changes, systems implementations, and process improvements supporting Treasury Transactions.

 

 This position will be responsible for the following:

  • Managing / Leading a team of analysts in charge of daily funding and settlement activities
  • Perform review and validation of daily trade support activities supporting Long Term debt, Brokered CDs, Commercial Paper, Interest Rate Swaps, Intercompany loans and Investment transactions.
  • Build and manage strong, effective relationships with counterparties and Treasury Partners
  • Perform investigations on open items
  • Help develop highly effective Treasury Middle office function to become a strategic partner of Treasury
  • Deliver adhoc reporting requests to partners
  • Review daily and monthly transaction accounting for accuracy and completeness
  • Help maintain Treasury sub-ledger static data and update as necessary
  • Assist on various Treasury related cross-functional project work streams of organization-wide initiatives
  • Independently execute on project tasks on multiple projects based on defined project plans
  • Liaise with various project team members to drive projects to successful completion


Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance
  • CPA or equivalent certification a plus
  • Experience in investments, debt and derivative accounting a plus
  • Knowledge of capital markets and Treasury operations preferred
  • Sound knowledge of Oracle accounting and reporting tools preferred
  • Extensive knowledge of Microsoft office tools – Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Visio
  • Highly motivated individual with an ability to drive results
  • Strong collaborative and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize independently
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
  • Detail oriented and strong analytical skills
  • Positive attitude and flexibility to deal with change in a fast paced environment
  • Bloomberg experience is a plus
