Job Description

Focus Provides deep technical knowledge and architectural design mentorship at a platform and portfolio level. Key contributing architect on large/complex projects with a variety of components Organizational Context Director level individual contributor who may lead a small team of Software Engineers. Reports into the Enterprise Architecture team and may be embedded within the Unit CIO teams they currently support, acting as key standard-bearers for the enterprise platform strategy. Key Responsibilities

·       25% of time spent on Hands-on technical projects; Apply analysis based on research and introspection to recommend solutions • Design and handle solutions that provide frameworks, interfaces, and services that can be extended and reused across the portfolio

·       Ensure architecture is consistent with enterprise architecture standards, guidelines and principles

·       Work with engineering teams to ensure that implementations are aligned with the Technical Platform’s Blueprint specifications

·       Contribute to technology direction, develop architecture and influence implementation to gain measurable business improvements • Frequently collaborate with other functional teams' leadership and engineers to align and use solutions

·       Focused effort on delivering enterprise-grade APIs to expose Technical Platform capabilities

·       Apply specialized knowledge of industry standards or practices to assigned initiatives

·       Identify complex and or broad problems and issues and formulate recommendations

·       Interact with business partners to better understand their objectives and help them understand the technical landscape

·       Extend business product innovation through the introduction, adoption and implementation of technology Scope of Impact/Influence

·       This person will be the lead solution architect for one or more Technical Platforms • Works on establishing and aligning platform architecture to enterprise objectives and standards.

Education & Experience :

Education & Experience 8+ years of active engineering and/or architecture experience in a complex environment and/or comparable experience such as:

·       Successful design, creation and deployment of one or more enterprise-grade technology assets, including integration of cross-platform solutions in an Agile product environment

·       Bachelor’s Degree in computer science, computer science engineering, or related field required; advanced degree preferred High-performing Behaviors

·       Able to share technology domain expertise with architects and other specialists

·       Networks and communicates with peers persuasively to gain partnership for projects and initiatives within own function or domain

·       Ability to adapt solution architecture to meet the broader needs of the enterprise, solving unrivaled problems that span multiple areas

·       Introduces new and impactful technologies based on research, POC efforts and independent research

·       Regularly provides specialized technical mentorship to others in work area Knowledge/Skills

·       Advanced knowledge within one or more architectural specialties with general understanding of relevant supporting architecture domains (business, data, application, technical, integration, etc.) support the advancement of business products Engineering & Architecture

·       Recent hands-on experience with the primary technology stacks within platform portfolio (relevant frameworks, languages, etc.)

·       Expertise in crafting and implementing fault-tolerant, scalable solution architectures that are performance at a global enterprise scale

·       Full understanding of Service Oriented Architecture design principles, execution patterns and performance optimization

·       Experience with platform service exposure through enterprise-grade APIs over an ESB, utilizing contemporary techniques

·       Proficient in crafting large-scale solutions through loosely coupled cross-platform system integration

·       Able to participate in the prevention, diagnosis, and resolution of system outages as an authority in the underlying architecture

·       Channel-specific architecture skills as required by the platform, such as web, mobile, voice or interactive media

·       Advanced solution architecture skills with wide-ranging experience; Advanced knowledge within one or more architectural specialties
