Job Description

The Strategic Engagement Team (SET) engages with teams across Global Commercial Services (GCS) to drive forward high-priority, business critical strategy and marketing initiatives within defined scope projects. 
The Sr. Manager of SET will lead engagements that deliver incremental value by accelerating growth or exploring new opportunities. Assignments are project based of varying lengths or longer term commitments within a specific GCS business team, including critical coverage of parental leaves.  Assignments are scoped with specific goals and deliverables and can range in function across marketing strategy and execution, business development, product development or project management. 
The successful candidate is a proven high-performer with a strong track record of driving results with flawless execution, has demonstrated strong strategic thinking and is highly self-motivated.  

This is a full time role. 


  • Experience in at least 2 of the following areas: Marketing Execution across multiple marketing functionsStrategy, Reporting/Analytics, Product Development, Project Management, Business Development, Consulting
  • Commercial Services experience preferred
  • Track record of innovative, business driven results
  • Demonstrated success in project management and ability to form effective working relationships
  • Strong communication skills and business maturity
  • Comfort with ambiguity and ‘white space’
  • Ability to adapt to changing business environments and quickly ‘get up to speed’
  • Employment eligibility to work with American Express in the U.S. is required as the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for these positions
