The Global Card Issuance team manages service partners that provide card manufacturing, personalization, and project support for all proprietary American Express cards globally. The successful candidate for this role will lead an Inventory team of analysts responsible for forecasting inventory for the Americas for over 1,000 unique materials as well as ordering and monitoring inventory status. In addition, the inventory team is also responsible for partnering with project teams to ensure the successful launch of several new product launches each year as well as ensuring that all cards issued have the correct materials including correct compliance material and welcome kits.
This role gives the successful candidate the exposure to several internal groups including Marketing, Compliance, Brand, and Finance and is a key contributor to the success of the Card Issuance team.
Job Responsibilities
The successful candidate will help support the objective by:
  • Developing and maintaining best in class forecasting models for material usage.  The output will drive manufacturing forecasts, order plans, and will assist Operations colleagues in assessing issuance capacity at various issuance partners.
  • Developing algorithms that calculate the risk profile of each material to determine safety stock levels and reorder points
  • Preparing Inventory reporting to be used by operations colleagues so they can effectively and efficiently execute on the material ordering plan
  • Manage multiple 3rd party manufacturing vendor relationships and prioritize initiatives across Global Card Issuance
  • Identifying and implementing solutions designed to standardize transactional and operational processes
  • Leading and supporting projects related to strategic initiatives
  • The position requires the ability to correctly prioritize among multiple tasks in a fast paced and constantly changing environment


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business, Engineering, or related field, and 2 years’ relative experience in supply chain or quantitative field
  • Ability to communicate and build strong relationships across multiple levels of leadership
  • Previous experience in developing complex forecasting models
  • Strong ability to translate data analytics into impactful insights and actionable outcomes
  • Results driven with the ability to effectively manage initiatives to completion
  • Experience leading a team in a diverse and quickly changing environment
