Compliance Regulatory Advisory Manager
It is essential that candidate has an excellent understanding of Payment Services related regulations including Insurance Mediation.
As a member of the Spanish regulatory compliance team, the candidate will assist in handling a variety of compliance related matters, assist in implementation of policies and procedures to achieve compliance with legal obligations and Company policy, Compliance monitoring and testing, support any compliance-related internal or external audits as well as regulatory inspections, define and support implementation of corrective action plans, provide guidance to the business and perform compliance-related training programs.
More precisely, this position will have responsibility to:
Support the regulatory change management process in close coordination with the General Counsel Office
Support development, monitoring and implementation of incoming regulations i.e. PSD2, Insurance Directive, Travel Package Directive etc in close coordination with other compliance and operational excellence teams
Support the annual Compliance Risk assessment process giving advice on regulatory and policy requirements
Support new products approval process including compliance risk pillar and controls assessment
Support regulatory compliance policies & procedures
Support design and implementation of required local training program to business partners
Establish a smooth working relationship with other compliance colleagues across the international organization to provide Spain regulatory advisory support on those subject areas potentially impacting other jurisdictions across continental Europe
Support business initiatives from a regulatory compliance standpoint
Offer of employment with American Express is conditioned upon the successful completion of a background verification check, subject to applicable laws and regulations.
University Degree (preferably in Law). Working knowledge of payment services regulations and Insurance mediation desirable
A minimum of 6 years of compliance related work experience in an EU bank and/or non-bank financial services industry
Proven experience in designing and implementing regulatory compliance programs including analysis of regulation, risk assessment, design of policies & procedures and monitoring programs
Proficient on MS Office
Strong communication (verbal and written) and influencing skills
Ability to build strong relationships with business, stakeholders and partners.
Fluency in English, both verbal and written is a must
Working experience in a multinational company such as Amex
