Job Description

This position is part of a team that manages the data sourcing and analysis activities for the Regulatory Reporting Delivery program within the Strategic Enablement & Governance (SEG) group. The primary responsibilities for this role are to provide data and analytics support across the team AND lead the project management activities for the team. The person will be responsible for conducting exploratory data analysis to identify data patterns that provide more detailed scenarios for implementations and reduce testing defects. The incumbent will also be responsible for managing and overseeing the various project workstreams within the team that includes setting deadlines, tracking team’s responsibilities and reporting regularly on the progress of the project in relation to the approved schedule.

 

Responsibilities include:

  • Perform data profiling to evaluate and compare data from different sources to draw conclusions on data mappings, data value transformations and data issues
  • Ensure that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope and within budget
  • Develop and maintain a detailed project plan to monitor and track progress
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
  • Track project performance, specifically to analyze the successful completion of short and long-term goals using appropriate KPIs, metrics, tools, and techniques
  • Perform risk management to minimize project risks
  • Lead, define and participate in program increment scope planning with multiple stakeholders

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, minor in Information/Data Management/Project Management preferred
  • 4-5 years of industry experience with 1-2 years of core focus in Banking, Credit Card Life Cycle, Financial Instruments or Treasury areas with exposure to Project and Data Management
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to define situations, document data, and draw conclusions
  • Basic understanding of Agile methodology and delivery concepts
  • Beginner knowledge of SQL along with relational database concepts and data management concepts
  • Candidate must have strong analytical and problem-solving skills as well as strong relationship skills
  • Demonstrated ability to promote and drive change to further improve processes to be more efficient and effective
  • Demonstrated process thinking and must be detail oriented
  • Proven collaboration/relationship skills
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Self-motivated, proactive, and dedicated to the delivery of high-quality service to consistently exceeds customers’ expectations
