Job Description

The successful candidate will play a vital role in the UK & ICC Premium Product & Customer Marketing team responsible for the management of our Platinum and Centurion Benefits and the Events strategy across our premium products.

Our event programme across our super-premium products has expanded significantly in recent years and plays a critical role in delivering experiential value to our most premium customers.  This role will define the strategy to deliver on this promise, leading a team to curate and deliver bespoke events as well as manage core agencies, such as Cultural Comms, to deliver content and access.  In addition, the successful candidate will take the lead in identifying opportunities to broaden our ongoing access programme for our premium customers, across priority categories including Travel, Dining, Sports, Arts & Entertainment, Bars & Clubs, whilst managing and renegotiating local partnerships which are core to our premium value proposition. 

Key responsibilities:

  • Strategic ownership of our Platinum and Centurion events strategy to deliver on experiential value for our premium products

  • Oversight and delivery of both our Platinum / Centurion event programmes (through the management of two specialist contractors)

  • Management of our key benefit partnerships as UK & ICC relationship lead and responsibility for negotiating favourable commercial terms with new partners or renegotiating existing

  • Build a pipeline and deliver new partnerships to expand our access programme in line with our premium product strategy

  • Ensure ongoing optimisation of benefits marketing campaigns to drive CM engagement and usage of core benefits and events; deliver against partner contractual commitments

  • Manage and enhance the end to end customer experience for premium benefits and drive differentiation across our premium portfolios

  • Ownership of reporting and tracking for all benefits programme KPIs in partnership with Finance and Business Intelligence teams

  • Effective management of the Cost of Cardmember Services (COCMS) budget line to deliver product profitability including partner payments and tracking

  • Developing a pipeline of one-off merchant WOW benefits for both Centurion and Platinum Cardmembers, to reinforce product value and drive enhanced customer engagement

  • Leading a team of five (three direct reports)

Required skills

  • Understanding of the luxury market, premium card landscape & high net-worth consumer essential

  • Prior experience working in luxury marketing communications and B2C customer events for high net-worth customers essential – ideally bespoke events / money can’t buy access

  • Experience in developing strategic marketing plans to meet partner contractual terms

  • Commercial acumen with proven ability to successfully influence and negotiate contractual agreements with external partners to deliver benefits or access for customers at favourable commercials

  • Outstanding relationship management skills, ability to build effective working relationships with both internal / external stakeholders and partners to drive results

  • Thought-leader and customer advocate, who can define and drive team strategy

  • Results driven, with outstanding project management skills

  • Excellent communication and influencing skills

  • Proven experience of people leadership essential - demonstrated ability to lead and develop a high performance team

  • High energy and an optimistic attitude

  • BA degree or equivalent required
