At American Express, Third Party Risk Management is critical to organizational success as our teams of experts reduce our exposure to risk by researching and vetting potential third party relationships. As part of the Third Party Lifecycle Management program, you will have the opportunity to learn about supplier management, risk triggers and requirements of various bank regulations, all while gaining exposure to the lines of business that encapsulate American Express.
  • Coordinate and collect data and other materials from third parties.Review data and other materials collected from third parties to ensure due diligence requirements are met against a

  • pre-determined checklist prior to entering into a contract.
  • Assess and report on the business units’ effectiveness in managing third party performance.
  • Maintain and update database of third parties, including current risk scores, status of data requests and overall progress of risk management.
  • Assist manager in escalating higher risk-related issues / gaps, and areas requiring the use of judgment.
  • Develop and nurture relationships with a variety of business partners.
  • Leverage relationships with lines of business in an effort to develop a comprehensive understanding of the services they provide.
  • Suggest innovative ways to improve the program while maintaining its risk integrity.
