The role of the General Manager is to drive Sales, Account Management and Onboarding of the Accertify clients throughout Europe.

This position is responsible growing and supporting our customer base in Europe.  This individual will be tasked with leading the European teams and developing strategies to meet customers and prospects needs as the payments and risk environments change throughout the region.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Operating Leader of the European region for the company internally and externally.

  • Senior Leader of the EMEA Sales, Account Management, and Onboarding teams.

  • Driving top and bottom line sales results for the company through performance results of the sales team.

  • Be able to present and represent the company at conferences and trade shows.

  • Ensuring existing customers are provided superior service throughout the region.

  • Growing existing customer’s portfolios through organic transaction growth and offering of new solutions.

  • Retaining and renewal of customers in the region.

  • Demonstrate top qualities in leadership and mentoring in a “hands-on” manner and actively engage in developing and closing key target customer opportunities and retention of existing customers.

  • Creating strategies on what Winning Looks like for the region.

  • Developing close relationships with senior leaders of Accertify’s customers and partners.

  • Work closely with other American Express VP’s in the region to ensure Accertify is a known solution their customers.

  • Partner with all Accertify Senior leaders in setting for global strategies which lead to double digit revenue growth year over year.

  • Ensure colleagues throughout the region are part of an environment that encourages and supports personal career development.

Required skills:

  • Significant experience in leading large teams across many countries.

  • Working knowledge on the differences between an ISO, acquirer, issuer, gateways and payment schemes. Demonstrated understanding of network architectures and security and familiarity with relevant security software technologies.

  • Experience in dealing with sophisticated and demanding client structures requiring consultative sales and solutions oriented skills with an emphasis on demonstrating return on investment and other compelling financial benefit imperatives for the client.

  • Demonstrated ability to analyze the competition and changes in the marketplace, and taking actions to meet competitive threats.

  • Demonstrated leadership abilities including the ability to communicate vision and execute strategy.

  • High level executive presentation skills with ability to gain credibility and trust with C-level individuals, CFO, CTO, VP Information Systems, Director Fraud Detection and all significant decision makers and influencers within the client organization.

  • Establishes and builds trust across business functions, levels and departments to facilitate the achievement of shared goals.

  • A proven mentor, motivator and developer of staff for large diverse teams.

  • Learns from mistakes and remains committed to finding solutions despite difficulties and uncertainty.

  • Strong drive for achieving results.

  • Is highly Innovative and is constantly looking for new use cases and markets for Accertify’s suite of products and solutions.

  • University degree or equivalent experience required.
