Job Description:


Function Description:

Monthly Reconciliation Preparation, consolidation, reporting and presentation of reconciliation status as per AEFP 7

Purpose of the Role:

Responsible for AXP Balance sheet Reconciliation Process, sustain Balance Sheet account health while remaining focused on efficiency and sustaining financial integrity for the company by ensuring timely and accurate reconciliation of accounts assigned.


            Primarily accountable for the AXP Balance sheet account Reconciliation Reporting

            Provide strong reporting and analytical information support to leadership team with accuracy

            Designs, develops and deploys complex reporting solution to support business intelligence initiatives

            Prepare and present analytical data initiatives and deliverables to various stakeholder with an ability to present and explain analytic output

            Overall governance of the Balance Sheet accounts including supporting set up of new accounts on reconciliation platform

            Analyze available data repository to identify process improvements for increasing efficiency and effectiveness

            Quickly gain understanding  of inputs, processes, controls, flows, metrics, risks, SLA and outputs of the process area and provide suggestion

            Participate in cross-functional meetings to resolve recurring customer issues

            Continuously challenge the Status Quo and seek opportunity for process redesign

            Ensure Compliance with the prevailing Policies and Procedures




Critical Factors to Success:

            Oracle GL & SL

            Front end system –Globe star, etc.

            Advanced MS Office

            FIS Intellimatch – Reconciliation


            OBIEE, Essbase


Past Experience:

            1-2 Years of experience in supporting, reporting and analytics

            Sound knowledge of creating Macros and MS Access

            Must have a background in Finance/Accounts 

Academic Background:

            Graduate/Post Graduate (Finance) with minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience

Functional Skills/Capabilities:

            Strong understanding of accounting & reconciliation

            Strong understanding of MIS/ Analytics

            Basic understanding of reporting

            Project management

            Control & Compliance mindset

            Excellent communication & presentation skills

Technical Skills/Capabilities:


            Basic understanding & appreciation of automation capabilities

            Understanding of business products

            Digital mindset and understanding of systems and automation tools like Machine Learning, AI,  etc.

            Accounting Knowledge

            Strong understanding of accounting & reconciliation



Knowledge of Platforms:

            Oracle General Ledger

            MS Office

            Data Visualization tools like Tableau
