American Express Travel & Lifestyle Services serves American Express Card Members around the world with a full range of travel services, from trip planning and booking to enhancing the broader travel experience.
Within the Italian team we are looking for a passionate Junior Travel and Lifestyle Counselor, follower of Travel and Lifestyle news and trends, that will be in charge of managing T&LS Customer’ requirements for both offline and online travel services and lifestyle services. We are currently offering 1 year contract.
You’ll do more than the expected. You’ll do the unexpected.
It’s impossible to list everything you’ll do here because every customer is different. But a few things are clear, you’ll:
  • handle requests both received by phone and through on-line tools and interact by phone with Card members with a strong focus on Service and Customer Care 
  • be focused on Sales / Revenues and Customer Care and Loyalty Responsibilities managing daily activities related to Travel/Lifestyle/On-line for the T&Ls offices, such us tailored travel planning, sensitive restaurants bookings (i.e. Starred restaurants) or Lifestyle exclusive event


Are you ready for the challenge?
These are the qualifications we’re looking for:
  • High school or university degree
  • Good knowledge of Italian and English
  • Good knowledge of Airline, ferry and rail tickets sales, Tour Operator, Destination knowledge, hotel and Car bookings
  • Ability to use travel reservation systems and experience in a Travel Consultant role including expertise in travel destination around the world
  • Technical ability : Exposure to Gds (Sabre preferred but not mandatory)
  • Demonstrates emotional intelligence in dealing with T&LS customers’ enquiries and in probing customer to determinate key requirements
  • Demonstrates to communicate in an effective way to drive customer satisfaction and influence positive customer experience and feedback
  • Strong research/information gathering skills and creative problem solving skills
  • Time and workload management skills including prioritizing and responding promptly to customer calls whilst remaining calm
